The difference between Components and Symbols
Understanding the difference between Components and Symbols is important. Symbols are just drawing elements for the different parts of a hydraulic system. They don't contain any data or manufacturer-specific information.
Components are also included in the Bill of Materials by default, while symbols are not. That's because components represent actual product parts, while symbols don't.
Symbols might, for instance, be used if as a placeholder if you're not yet sure of which specific product part will be used.
