The Paro Component Library

At the core of HydroSym is the Paro Component Library, containing over 40,000 hydraulic components. It can be found on the right hand side of the screen. The library allows you to select symbols and components and directly drag-and-drop them onto the canvas.

The library has two parts, the online library and the local library. The online library is the shared, complete Paro Component Library. The local library is a private library folder, saved on your local or network hard drive.

The library is divided into three main categories: Symbols, Components, and Components+.

  • Symbols are simply drawing objects, and they don't contain any information.
  • Components are symbols with added information, such as manufacturer, type, size, and datasheet. So components represent actual product parts, while symbols are simply the drawing of a general part.
  • Components+ is where you can save previously designed schematics or parts of schematics in your own local library, to ensure easy access for future projects.
