The Bill of Materials

The Bill of Materials (BOM) is located under the Assist drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can simply press the letter B on your keyboard to open the BOM.

The BOM automatically generates a list of all used components in your schematic and updates them if you make changes while designing.

It can be printed, exported, and customized to your needs.

Some helpful tips:

  • Under the 'Columns' menu in the lower left corner you can add and remove columns to your BOM as needed.
  • Next to that, you have different sorting options, where you can choose to either sort by a specific column value or descending Z > A.
  • The 'Excel' button in the right bottom corner allows you to directly export your schematic to Excel. The default HydroSym Excel template will be applied, but you also have the option to customize and add a template depending on your specific needs. [link to video/article on how to do that here]
