Drawing connection lines

Ports of components or symbols are connected with connection lines.

Create a connection line by clicking the icon in the sidebar or use the shortcut key C.

Select a port, and the connection line starts with a bright blue square.

Direct the line with your mouse, and left click your mouse at every turn to secure the line thus far.

Once you reach the desired port, right click the port to secure the line as a whole.

The connection line is now final and turns orange.

Some things to note:

• You can also connect a port to an existing connection line
• The orange dots are connection nodes, needed to connect two lines

We often refer to HydroSym's connection lines as smart connection lines. This is because the lines stay connected even when moving components or symbols within your design.
